General Rules of Conduct
1. Respect the ProBoards Terms of Service: do not post or link any inappropriate content; do not use any foul language, or violate any other of their provisions.
2. Respect your fellow members. Do not threaten or insult them.
3. Respect the members of the staff. Do not argue with them, or pester them to look or your application. Flagrant violation of this rule may result in an automatic suspension.
4. Do not create drama on the board or chat-box.
5. Be active. It is up to you start or get involved in thread; don't be shy about advertising yourself or asking people to play with you (though don't pester them either of course). When it is your turn to reply in a thread, be prompt.
6. Do not take the law into your own hands. If you see another member breaking the rules (especially if you're the one targeted), tell the staff. In the same way, if you feel you are being treated unfairly by a staff member, tell another staff member -- do not argue.
7. The staff reserve the right to interpret and apply rules as a situation requires it. Moreover, the rules may be altered in the future.
Roleplaying Rules
1. First: to reiterate the general conduct rules, this is PG-13 rated board. No extreme violence, no extreme cursing, and absolutely no explicit sexual references. Or thinly veiled innuendo either.
2. This is account-per-character, meaning you make a new account for every character you play. Use the character's name, not some other name and definitely no numbers or other oddities.
3. Speaking of which, this is a literate board. "Literate" referring to quality not quantity of words; though while we're on the subject, you ought to try to shoot for two paragraphs at least. The main thing is to have good grammar, capitalization and punctuation, and to give whomever you're playing with something to reply to.
4. No godmodding. This means two things, both of which are forbidden: you cannot control the actions of another person, whether in or out battle; and you cannot be invincible.
5. No metagaming. This means using things you know, OOC as a person, in the game. For instance, Momo being abducted by a deranged Avatar fangirl; you may know the girl's identity, but if your character has no reason to know it ... your character does not know it. This can be a hard thing to call, but you should err ont he side of caution.
6. This board is event-based, meaning there is a separate topic for every occurrence in the game. Post the topic in the appropriate location, using the appropriate heading, and if it is part of a chain of events, post links to the succeeding and/or preceding threads. Also, when finished, notify a staff member so it can be locked or archived.
7. Do not post in the roleplaying forums until your character has been accepted.
